The Nadi Astrology process begins when a thumb impression of a seeker is obtained and it is given by the best nadi leaf Reader to the Palm-Leaf Library, where the bundles of palm leaves are classified and indexed in accordance with the thumb impression deposited. For each thumb impression, there are possibly around five to six bundles and each of those will consist of 50 to 100 leaves.
One specific leaf is that of the native. However, the mechanism of retrieving this particular leaf is a strenuous and time consuming one. Since the reader has to spell out one verse from the first leaf and in case it matches to be the native’s, he will continue to read out the second verse to check its accuracy. In case this verse does not hold good for the native, the reader moves on to the next leaf. Hence, it will be visible that the reader will have to endure searching leaf after leaf, bundle after bundle to track out that single leaf in which all the details with respect to the Native appear correctly. To expedite this method the Native has to submit his complete attention and devotion i.e., he should listen keenly and reply unequivocally.
